Omgosh - she is gorgeous!

Did you acquire her through another source or is she one of Hoss's daughters? Was it already 7 months since he came to live with you? He was such a beautiful boy. I'm glad you got some boys out of him. Any of his boys looking like they might be as good looking as their daddy was?
That Alice is one pretty girl...

Thank You everyone. Sadie she has been here about a month or so, she is from Julie in Alabama. Carol bought some chicks from her and was nice enough to share one with me. my hoss boys are still little twerps. about 4 months old. they are looking good. be spring before I know what they look like.

Oh of course. Julie does have gorgeous birds. I've been lurking (and drooling

) over on the Imported English thread for a long time. Love those beauties. Very nice - I'm glad Alice came to stay with you.

Very glad that 4312 is going to bring that pretty boy back to Omak with her!

Now where to put him where he will stay warm enough when I get him home. OMG....OMG....OMG.

Something tells me that DH won't let me keep another one in the house. LOL.

he might be ok, right now he chooses to sleep outside the coop and its been pretty cold here, froze a few times. glad you are getting him, he is a pretty nice guy, will eat out of your hand. not flighty. totally bossed around by the girls still.

I have (what needs roost poles put in and door made bigger) what is to be one of my Orp pens. It is insulated. But no added heat. It is getting to freezing or below here. I could always put a light bulb in it for him. Will he be okay alone? I am so excited. Hopefully it won't be too cold during qurantine. We do get below 0 weather. If this happens I can sneak him into the "big girl coop". It is insulated and I have a heat lamp in there. Also all the body heat of everyone keeps them nice and toasty. Well, he will have 2 lav wives...they are a bit young now (only 6 weeks old)....They are in the house. They are spoiled rotten and friendly. So that is a good trait to pass along. He too will be spoiled. Free range whenever possible. Treats. pampering. I will take good care of him. Thank you. PM me your address so I can send you a check.

awww your such a sweetheart!! thank you very much!! any day is good, wednesday I am hitting everyone with ivermec pour on for the bi-yearly mite worming thing, if you want to come wed afternoon or thursday or friday, whatever day works for you. I am sadly not very far from home these days lol

Wed my dd has an appt that afternoon. Thur or Fri would be better. Do you need a hand worming? Just let me know! I gotta sign off tonight. Taking mom to the airport super early. Nighty night!

I just wormed everyone the other night. Did the Ivermec pour. Not everyone was happy I upset their nightly routine...but all got done. Also nice to handle everyone and see that they are all in good flesh and nice clean soft healthy feathers. Going into the weather in good shape.

I was just thinking that maybe Alice wants a road trip too. She may want to come for a visit.

he should be fine until after quarantine. whatever methods you use to keep the others warm will work for him also. Alice has no desire to go on a road trip trust me lol !

Well of course she thinks that because her mama has told her bad things. but she hasn't had a chance to go see all of the fun places to visit.

It is entirely possible I overdid things yesterday- I was trying to get a good photo of the New Moon at sunset and somehow ended up walking all the way up onto the hill, about a quarter mile from the house, and going through/over fences because I was walking a straight line to take a photo (unsuccessful) of a lichen-covered oak tree. There was a moment of panic when I finally came out of my camera induced trance and realized I needed something food-like, fast, but there was one 65 calorie item at the bottom of a pocket, so I was saved the humiliation of having to call someone to retrieve me.

Fasting BG this morning: 84mg/dl which I have been told not to do, and part of today's entertainment will be communing with my meter at frequent intervals. Interferes way much with trying to get stuff done outside.
