Chicken Rustler - feel free to jump in here - I think you go to Yardbirds sometimes.

I am not from these parts, and have only been there twice, so I'm not sure how to get there.

Really? what is that?? I'm from "the other side" up the road like how far?? I have some very nice Muscovy's and I have one BLRW Roo, several very nice Buff orp roos, one Blk orps and two Lav Orps that need to go, they are just too nice to go to freezer camp and I don't have the freezer space anyway. It would be nice to get a little money. Please let me know where it is and who I see about paying the fee, I will have to come up super early, but it may be worth it! And thanks!!

At Yard Birds, you can either put your birds for auction, or pay the $10 and set up in the parking lot. Prices you will get can vary widely. Hubby went a couple of weeks ago and prices were low; much higher at Coal Creak. Muscovies bring more at Coal Creek because of the Asian market (they prefer large drakes, and sometimes will fetch up to $50 per bird).

Yup- there may be a matter of dirt stuck behind the dead scales (the oil seems to make the scales drop off. I put DE all over the dry parts of the run today, and on the perch, so we shall see.

Yardbirds is less than a mile from the Fairgrounds.

Hey thanks!! I didn't know all this stuff!! Wow!! It would be nice to get a good price for the Scovies, I do understand about the low prices, but, I'll venture to say they will be higher then what people will pay here! I'm going that way anyway.....Thank you, you are a wealth of information! Oh and staples is pretty good, I have a good printer, just don't have the patience to work on my computer to get a card worked up, I get very frustrated and they never turn out the way I want them!!
