My guy here is just the opposite.
Trying to get him to go to the doc is like pulling teeth out of a hen.
he will not take a Naproxsen (OTC) if he over works his back.
He will whine & sulk rather than taking a pill.
Like Pettect says, sometimes you need just a little something...and maybe stretch & exercise a bit to work out the spasms.
He is a martyr!!!

he also will not exercise & help strengthen his abs & back muscles and does little to keep the muscles in shape, so yeah..like your DH, overworking patetically underused muscles will hurt them!
Take care of your knees!!!!

One thing I insist on when DH needs a NSAID is FOOD.
You really have to watch out for your digestive system & have food in the tummy before you take any NSAID....ulcers are a serious painful bummer & the NSAIDs can eat a hole right through your stomach.
When I hurt my knee the first time they Rxed me with 800mg 2X a day Motrin.............ouch!!
Needless to say it upset my digestive system so bad I have learned to go without.

yes, sorry to say you are correct in that some conditions just cannot be dealt with by surgery, and having surgery does not necessarily fix the issue anyways.
In alot of cases, the resulting adhesion can cause more issues than you had in the first place...6 of one or a half doz of the other...

A virus scan would probably not detect a problem because it's not a virus, per se. But take a look at http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1579 for some ideas about things to check. I hope it's easy for you to get rid of.

What you're seeing is symptomatic of a browser hijack. It looks for key words coming into your browser and adds the links to places you don't want to go.

My brother's got hijacked a few months back & sent everyone on his e-mail address book some pretty racey (adult preformance & 'toys') ads via e-mail...and all were from his computer.
It even sent his bosses' a few racey e-mails, like "hi guy, you have got to try this new toy!!!"
OMG was he embarrassed!
I could not figure out why he was sending me the nasty toy e-mails.......

He had to completely change his e-mail address on top of cleaning his entire system out.

The Dr. today said DH may have a ruptured disk. I just never know what to believe with DH as he runs to the Dr. for every ache and pain. I have no clue anymore when to take him seriously. I'd like it if he spent an hour or two each day and more in the weekends if need be helping me around the house, or interacting with the kids in a positive manner; there is a lot that needs to be repaired inside and out, and the kids just think Dad is a grump who likes to play video-games.

This is why having my DH traveling for his job works for us. It was so much nicer to have him gone during the week, and have him happy when he came home on the weekends. Even now there are times when I am just plain ready for him to go back to work. It is less stressful for me when it's just me and the critters.

It is also nice to have your 'space' where you have it nice & stressfree as you designed it.
This being winter is even tougher here for me, with DH "underfoot" constantly.
I want to watch exercise videos..and drag out my weights & machines to get my PT done...eat smallish meals..have my teas.
he wants Monster Trucks shows and loud car racing...COPS shows, sirens wailing...cops arresting people fighting

Meat, potatoes, desserts & fried everything......you know, guy food!
In such a small space it can cause quite the friction.
Sometimes I just want to pack a small bag & go stay in a Motel overnight for PEACE & quiet..(no meals to cook, no dishes to do!!).....rest, it would be such a treat!!

I am very aware, a 5mg tab is not going to cause an OD. I have a chronic disease and am well schooled in the medication department thanks to that. the most common pain med given is hydrocodone 5-500. you wont keel over from 2.5 mg of that. thank you though, for looking out for those who might not know.

Wanted to ask you...do any of the pain meds and NSAIDS upset your digestive tract at all?
I get a reaction that is quite unpleasant, like the stomach (intestinal) flu...achy tummy, & all the rest.

Oh great, I finally caught up with my own self !!

Cold here this morn, 29 degrees.
So some coops get opened, some are waiting for warmer temps.
I have the babies still locked up & pretty soon will go do Marek's vaccines, collect a few more eggs & get the smaller gQf incubator going.

I was going to make fudge, but my candy thermometer has cracks!!!

I have barely used it but 2 or 3 times.....darn it.
Oh well, my rear end really does not need more fudge anyways...

I got my eggcartons.com order..finally!!
In deepest night, UPS finally hucked the box over the gate, found this AM all covered with frost...

I think that took about 2 1/2 weeks to get here

I have a big box of loose, cleaned eggs in the fridge to pack.

Hey, wanted to ask you all~
Are your egg sales tappered off right now?
It seems hardly anyone is stopping here for eggs & the sales at the various 'markets' I serve have hardley sold any.
Just wondered if it is not egg season right now or what???

Well, better go get ready to do shots.
