One caveat, make sure the bank knows it is for PRINCIPAL! We did this a few years back and they applied it to monthly payments (including interest), so that at the end of the year we didn't have to pay for December, but it still hadn't reduced out principal. We called the bank and made them change it for upcoming payments.

Next months statement should always show extra to principle.
Very strange yours didn't seperate them.

Yes, you have to watch these companies cause one hand rarely has a clue what the other is doing.​

Yes, pay off that high interest first.

We got in credit card trouble about 9 years ago.
Told the Wife no more.
We going to cut them up get us a debit card and spend what we have.

Even 9 years later it's tempting to just buy on credit buit we have stuck to it and I believe God has blessed us for it.
Talk about scary not having back up it most certainly is. It's been a journey.
But one for us it works.
For others they want that security to instant cash available for emergencies and I understand that.​

Funny you should mention that...I have planted a medium sized orchard 2 years ago...and all are late bloomers.
The Nectarines & peaches still have nice green leaves on them...the apricots still have a few as well.
One small peach I planted from a pit/from a NICE peach I ate from the grocery store, still has ALL it's leaves, and is in a 1 gal pot!
ALL the roses have all their leaves, some are still blooming.....most all need 'chill time' in order to blossom & set fruit...and this winter is NOT working at all so far.
But last year...on February 14th....this happened:

So our """winter""" may be again late as last year~~~~~~~~~
making yet again a late spring & soggy summer full of no-see-ums.

I'd invite you to stop by the shop one day while you're in town and do all the sampling you'd like at no charge. We carry about 15 different varieties and most everyone finds something new they enjoy. Keep us in mind if you'd like personalized labels, (maybe with your own artwork?) as a gift.

I am looking for a "new" wine that is regional ...and good results coming from California (as usual) but also the Columbia Gorge, called "Malbec" which, they say, has a way of "adapting to both warm & cold climes.
Not here in the west~~~~~~~~~~too wet I'd imagine......but looking for Malbec from the Gorge for his collection.

I have UNTENDED 2 years now, alot of Pinot Noir vines, now about 12 years old, and white "dessert" varieties as well...........NO ONE has pruned or kept them up since I left CA 2 1/2 years ago...the Pinot planted in 2006 ?? Cannot remember..........but gorgeous vines...FiL runs over them with the lawn mower as he refuses to run a wire & train them...........

I have made wine 2x from these Pinot vines.......astronomical output & very good output, nice harvest after complete neglect.........and our wines were fantastic!!
The worst thing is the heat to grow them also destroys the bottled wine............so my idea is to harvest there, and process here where it can be stored & aged in the dark & cool as we have no cellar there.

We use a Discover Card for ALL our purchases (excpt the zero interest Home Depot & Cabelas) and Discover pays back.......BUT we pay OFF the Discover Card every month, so NO interest is ever added.
Tricky to do....and sometimes we have to work hard to pay it off (as when we had a BIG charge like a car break down...and thankful we had the card)
And after years of this, we now have a limit of over 50K on our Discover.
How insane is that?
I could actually go 'charge' a house!
We bought this property cash.....50K.......................DONE.
And we will build our house as we have...CASH.......not borrowing a dime.

But we will need a good sheetrocker

need to add one thing here:

PATIENCE is how that all works....learn to do with what you have or live without.......too many Americans want what they want NOW.few are willing to work for anything...those that buy on credit end up paying 2X as much as their purchase was in the first place!
So, my next "big" purchase of a used car will be CASH, and up to 3K.....and that's it...no need to put on aires, we just need to get comfortably from point A to point B.
When we bought our van.......we looked for years & fell in love with it...and it has been an awesome vechicle for both carting around stuff & camping...they wanted 10K...........so we paid it.
CASH.
My little brother has 4 or 5 NEW vechicles, (NEW Ford truck, NEW Toyota Landcruiser) and a HUGE house & is so proud of it as if that is a message about him self......quite the contrary...as far as we are concerned, he is an idiot showing off how much he can CHARGE.....and it has nothing to do with how much he can PAY nor how much he is WORTH.
Alot of my siblings wonder why I am living in a small "lawn mower barn" instead of outright buying a manufactered home & getting on with it........
So ya see, Americans want what they want & they expect it now.........not ever having to save for it nor building it cash....
Let's hear it for those to save, it is NOT impossible!
And get out of debt, and better to never get into it!
