Well, it's still snowing here but it's also melting. Chickens are actually out but pretty bewildered by it all. Even the alpha cockerel has stopped chasing the beta. Course, the ducks are playing in the pond, as usual. Goats won't come out though.

I'm staying inside - going to do some more painting I think. Maybe make some bread, that always make the house smell so warm and friendly, especially in bad weather.

I changed my avatar to a Hawaii sunset, to make me feel less depressed about this snow. Remembering one winter, just a couple years back . . . .

remember, there is an open invitation for all BYCers, especially those here, to come visit us on Maui when we're there --- early Feb to mid April this year; nothing fancy, but we will have two empty bedrooms plus futon in the enclosed lanai...

I am tentatively looking for a home for my two Nigerian Dwarf does. Please e mail (not PM) if you are interested or have questions...
I'd really like them to go to someone I am familiar-ish with....

I dont have your email, I call the 4-h group about them but need to know more.

Hallo, Washingtonians! Figured I'd toss out an introduction here. I live in Anacortes with my wife and 3yo son. We have 2 chicken-friendly dogs (a Boston terrier and a boxer/pit mix). We bought a house last summer and I took that opportunity to fulfill my dream of a small backyard flock. I got a coop and found a craigslist ad with lots of pullets on Whidbey Island. I ended up taking 1 RIR, 1 Australorp and 2 golden-laced Wyandottes. The RIR and the Australorp were clearly red in the face and laying. The owner had a huge flock, though, and couldn't remember when the Wyandottes were chicks. I figured they'd be laying within a month or so. Well ... 3.5 months later, we finally are getting eggs from one of them and the other is getting redder and redder, so hopefully we'll see an egg from her any day now.

Any others in this area? Skagit has been a bit of a shock to my system. I never realized what a city girl I was until I moved here. But we've grown to love it. Well, that's about it. Hi! Hi!

You'll love this site it has a lot to offer, I live down south but there are lots of us all over.

Did my PET yesterday. They told me I would have no side effects from the sodium fluoride.
I got a very nice headache and beautiful nausea. Guess I'm just special.

Should have result next week.

On another note.... I received this US AG census thing that we are required by law to fill out.

they never have done anything to me. The people I hang around around are against them. PM and I'll tell you some reasons.. Just my two cents or maybe one cents

So I got up and was out the door at 7 yesterday drove to Battle Ground. On the way up we hit rain sun and lots of snow. My friend went with me and I was looking ahead and said that is a really dark cloud. Before I knew it we were in SNOW... Oh well good trip have to new birds and love them.
