I knew coyotes were ok to shoot at... but me and my friends were not sure about bobcats... we have never seen them in our area before so no one knew the rules on that. just didn't want to get in trouble.

Hey CR, I have chicks hatching from the eggs by my fire 3.5 days. I cant believe it! I put them in the bator last night after the storm and now we have lift off!

Just got a call back from Karen. They're alright,. They lost part of a barn and one chicken. Their internet connection has been intermittent at best, and they had some power losses, but had battery back up for the incubators. She'll post as soon as she can.

Well I don't have time right now to wade through all the posts, but it doesn't seem like Imp has checked in with y'all yet today.

I had a message from him when I got home a bit ago. He's fine. Just wanted to let y'all know.

Thanks grity. No the IMPish one hasn't checked in. I think you need to dish him a good dose of punishment.

Don got permission to work from home when need be. He works at Microsoft. I work at H&R Block in town, so I do go in. If I can get out my driveway, I can get around just fine. The offie is closed when the school district is, so it was not a problem this week (calling clients to let them know I would not be there was!) The house has a design flaw, the garage should have been under a peak! It is the mounds of snow that build up under the eves - once the snow starts slipping, it is too dangerous to be near them. I'm only about 4 miles from the outlet malls in North Bend off I-90. We are at 990 feet elevation, the town is at 470' and that 500 feet can be the difference between no snow and lots of snow! This latest storm, the town got dumped on too.

I'm going to buy a plow blade for the John Deere lawn tractor if it can handle one. Otherwise I may try and talk whoever owns the rusty old Kubota backhoe that is currently in my driveway into selling it to me.

Unless you have a BIG "lawn tractor" You will probablly be disapointed. They just aren't heavy enough to do much with a blade and they tend to get stuck pretty easy so you would need to plan to put tire chains on too. Best would be a med size tractor with loader and or back blade.
