Here's some chick pics from today...put these guys in the brooder this morning, along with 4 others, there's still 2 more chicks in the hatcher that aren't ready for the rough and tumble world of the brooder....

Bantam Buff Faverolles...

And with one of the black Favs....

OMG - could they be ANY CUTER?!?!? Having serious chick envy right now ...

Hey Washingtonians!!!

Does anyone want a Japanese Bantam Rooster? One appeared on a friends property and made itself comfortable in the barn but he doesn't want it.

Let me know if you're interested. I'm in Kirkland.

Thanks!

Jen

I have news as well...though I am not prego.
The factory was torn down long ago.LOL

I have 2nd gen OEs hatching a day early.
And true as they always do, they pip & within that hour they are out & running around.
I am hoping for more barred babies (with the beard) this time.
The first gen has all been Am look-a-likes, blue & black.
The 2nd gen I want some more colors, and so far have a buff/blue splash, a white/dark blue splash, blues and now this batch's first hatch looks like it will be a barred bird...YIPPEE!!!!!!!
Cannot waite to see the eggs these 2nd gen OEs will lay !!!!!!!!!

Well, got to go take care of chores but wanted to post for computer buffs here, my system has 512 MB of RAM -Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU, 28000 GHZ-
whatever that means....so is it enough ?
Do I need more ?

                      :idunno
Did a disc check this morning, degragged last night....seems to be a little less constipated this morning, a little faster.
GREG ?
I do not know what "normal" RAM is, so cannot tell if I have too little or not.
Maybe others can say what they have ?
Just askin'
Later peeps !

I had my friendly geek put the fastest possible controller in here, still compatible with WinXP -- and as much memory as he could stuff in the tower; I think I have 32 gig and that made a HUGE difference in the speed at which things load, particularly the heavily graphic stuff on Facebook games

fortunately the computer was built up, originally, by the computer dept at MCC, so all components are "standard" rather than brand-specific, making it far easier and cheaper to update .. but I think I've now hit the possible ceiling for this operating system -- and for several good reasons I will NOT change that on the tower (though our laptop runs Win 7)

adding memory to laptops is a bit different, since almost all of those require brand-specific memory modules
