Incidently, the puter seems to be posting OK right now...weird.
Seems later (evening) it is difficult for me to get page to page, and by dinner time I cannot get in for PMs at all, or when I do, cannot pull them up or get kicked off to some other page ????????
ok, then this is what is happening. You def do NOT have enough ram; HOWEVER, since there are certain times of day when it's worse, and other times when it's better, it is almost certainly a connectivity problem. When there is a heavy load on the connection, it will slow down. Peak periods, sort of like when there is a heavy load on the electric, like in California during hot weather, you get rolling blackouts.

Same same here - WE have cable modem, and although I don't have a really fast computer, I have had no issues with the new BYC. I don't know if you have dial-up, DSL or what but this could be a contributing factor. So don't go overboard on the motherboard and ram until you know for certain. You could end up with the same problem as you have now, and have spent money to get it fixed.

Thanks much, I'll get through. I've entered the sincerely drunk stage of sleep deprivation, which will make cooking dinner an adventure, but after that I'm done for the day- DD came by and took care of the bathroom chickies for me, and then drove me to group health to order contacts, where I found out I've got a benefit available and am therefore NOT BROKE!!! so the endorphins for that have cheered me right up.
And it didn't rain or snow today, and people can drive up and down the driveway right up, and right down, just as if it were not an extraordinary thing to be able to park your car right next to the house! WOW.

I hope you got some decent sleep!
That's great about the contacts, it's like an extra bonus when you find out you don't have to pay for something out of pocket!

Oops! I guess I meant I don't know if she has a way to get them, if she has to rent a truck or delivery people, etc. Anyway, I hope T Hi uses up her quota of crazy happenings soon.

Sad morning... Woke up to find one of my Rhode Island Red Chicks passed away in the night.

. I just got them in the mail yesterday morning so I wasnt attatched but still sad.... I guess 1 out of 25 chicks isnt bad tho...

Bummer! I hope it's the only one you lose.

It is in Ouilcene, a long & windy drive up the East side of the penninsula.
It would make a great week end get away...Or to sell, it has alot of Nice Mature cedar.
dad has not listed it, he says he doubts it would sell so why bother ?

That would make a really nice vacation rental, if you want to go that route.

I think you are totally correct !
I have had Comcast out here 20 times & finally they added a signal booster here on our meter base.
When the 3 homes next door were occupied, we had really bad bad issues.
Seems we have a LONG LONG cable "spur" that goes to the 3 homes next door & then us last, the 4th home on the spur.
Our signal was so weak it was non functioning at all during peak times.
But those 3 homes are vacant now, and there is no one else out here for miles.
I have called comcast to check connectivity & they said it was fine.
That said, what I need to do is have a truck come out & test my signal during the peak times, worse is when school gets out & gets even worse as even progresses to the point where I can get zero forum or PMs or even e-mail...it is horribly frustrating !
Right now, BYC is slow, up to 20 sec to post after I click the submit button.
My typing is fast enough that it takes several seconds to show up on the screen before me.
So yeah, I agree with the conectivity issues.
We'll deal with the RAM first, then the connectivity.
If I complain to comcast now they will insist it is my computer.
