Thank You. Yes it was hard for me as well. I have never lost a chick before ( I have lost a few chickens to a chicken killing dog tho). This how ever was also the first time I ever ordered them in the mail. I ordered 10 cornish crosses n 5 RIR's n they threw in 10 Barred Rock males for extra warmth. The seemed fine all day n then I went to check early this mornin and the little girl was dead.
. Thankfully my husband knows I am a mush and took it out back n barried her before he left for work so I didnt have to. Hopefully I wont loose any more. At least not out of this batch.

Im sorry, its hard to lose them no matter how long we have them. I hatch and when I lose a chick I cry and it drives my Hubby crazy. Im one of those people who will try anything to keep them alive. Now my hubby has put a stop to it and says if its not right I need to let them go. Which I know is true but its hard..
