Thanks guys... I am gonna have to get a notebook and take notes hehe. I am hoping to one day have a big flock... Lots of color both in the coop n the egg basket.

of course I have to vote for my EEs ... sturdy, heat tolerant, cold tolerant, don't mind crowding, prolific layers, almost as talkative as my Siamese cat (yes they greet me when I approach, or when they wander over while free ranging); of course the different color eggs, and most of mine have feathers that flash teal in the sun ... also they are so soft ...

for eye candy, I guess I have to admit I love the millefleur pattern .. I just prefer clean legs (with the dust, sand, and mud I deal with)

and crele OEGB ....

Mr Hallerlake prefers the Appenzeller Spitzhaubens because their black and white coloring looks so crisp and tidy, but i think i prefer the Brabanters. i love the funny little honking sounds they make, and their curiosity. They have to be in the middle of whatever I'm doing, even if it's just cleaning the coops.

OK guys I am gonna open a can of worms.... What if your FAVORITE breed of chicken and why?

I don't like black chickens, going to sell my Australorps (if I can find a buyer), but those are sure pretty birds you have CL.

I like your buckeyes too!

I have some Dark Cornish that are really nice.

Which reminds me, haven't seen Mia around lately?
