I am going to be off the computer all day and stick to getting familiar with this new sewing macine.
It has been a day after day "the faster I go, the behinder I get" thing here, all week long, and unable to catch up.
I have to deliver eggs, but other than that, I am sticking to my tote sewing.

We will not be going to Toni's, both of us are exhausted.

I WILL check e-mail later afternoon, if there is any developements, please send me an update !!!

Yes I still have some blisters from that one. You are right and I stand corrected this is not the same person as last time.
Julie see that little red flag down in the left corner? that is to "report" such things. I had to test mine to see if it really works. Waiting on results.

It seems to me like maybe 1) heather just attracts weird mean comments ? (not likely)
or
2) nasty poster from La is related to the last nasty poster that verbally attacked her,
it happens !
Folks befriend each other and 'strike out' in attempt to harm the reporter...
So this new nasty erson could be a friend or relative of the last nasty person ???
My thoughts say could be !

XXX 1010101010 !! I nominate JB to be the free food for me at gatherings cooridnator.
After all for those who don't know. When the WA peeps had our first (to my knowledge) meet up JB did most of the coordinating of food. Also Kim and Ron did an awesome job of finding us a home for the day.

Quote: yep I went up there and bought my first Muscovy's from her, nice place! Anyway, I just don't understand, why someone who doesn't even know her would make a comment about her personal life?? I'm sure she has been in this business long enough she knows what she can handle after having the baby. And certainly the auction forum is NOT the place to bring that up, and if that person was the one that sent the email, she had no right to do so, and I find it interesting that the mods would let something like that happen and not tell that person to stop!

You certainly did a great job getting it all organized !

I was trained in how to do pot lucks as a kid. I am no long very social, so just finding a chance to put one together makes me very happy.

Hi all - I am in Issaquah with some backyard chickens since July. I have gotten so much great info from these forums and have just discovered this thread of locals. It is very long and reading just the last few pages it seems like you guys know each other pretty well. I wish I would have seen this one about two weeks ago when I felt totally alone after an eagle attack. Though I have found great info here and a couple of people that have been really helpful.

My chickens have a great coop and an enclosed run that is fairly small in my opinion but bigger than many suggest. We have surrounded that all with an electric fence that we put on at night and whenever we are not around. Up until recently we have let our chickens out to raom while we are home but haven't really watched them closely at all.

Well apparently we are now under attack and everyone is on lockdown because of this young eagle. i have created a chicken hospital in my garage and my chicken (about 10 months old) has come back from deaths door (or so I thought) and she is doing great - has actually laid two eggs after 15 days "in hospital." She has a long way to go until her wounds are healed and she can return to her "flock" (five total lol) but she so wants to be with them but they peck her if we let her hang out with them at all. I am having a custom chicken coat made in hopes she can hang with them again soon hahahaha.

I have 2 acres but they only really roam on less than one of them - what are people doing around here about birds of prey?? is there a season? Previously we had let them roam about from about 12 until 3 or 4 every day unsupervised and they loved it. Will we ever be able to do that again?

I will subscribe to this forum by daily digest to look for answers but it does seem pretty busy so if you have any thoughts for me feel free to ask for my e-mail and we can chat that way if needed. Obviously I am new here so don't really know how this works.

Thanks so much!! Carla

Hi Carla,
welcome-byc.gif

so glad your here! And yes there are lots of peeps who have met each other here, and are friends but, that's what we like about it! I am from the east side (dry) and all though we have more hawks and owls where I live I personally haven't had that type of prey problem. I know some on here use nets, over their coops as some protection.
Please don't be intimidated by how fast this forum moves or that we know each other, we all started off the way you did. I got to know them through this forum and making trips to buy birds and eggs and calling a few when I was frantic about my first incubation hatch! I also went to my first poultry show and met lots of peeps there too! Lots of good information here, and tons of experienced poultry enthusiast ! Hang around, we would like to get to know you and your flock as well!
