So I read the flyer and I'm not clear - what are the costs involved? I have a daughter with aspergers and chickens are her "thing". She'd love this. But the wife asks "are you sure there won't be any chickens for sale there?" because she remembers the last time I went to buy a couple of hens and came home with...well, it wasn't a couple of hens. We'll just leave it at that. :) That flyer could use a little more information, that's for sure. It isn't clear when the show is (all day? 11 - 6? From 3:30 to 4:05?) but like I said, it would go down well with the younger girls.

I am also wondering what the hours are because it's on St. Patrick's Day, and Scotch-Irish chicks gotta get their corned beef on.

Really, i was trying to reply to the quotes above, but this forum is just too slick for me at 3:34 AM

Crapola! I'm sorry.
Emergency - please help - Puyallup area

Some dogs got into our coop. Out of 7 chickens, 1 is missing, 1 is dead, and 2 are seriously injured. We need someone to take the remaining 3, as they are not safe here, and we don't have a means of humanely putting the other two down. This could not have happened at a worse time, we have no money for vets or even buying more chicken wire. We have secured the coop as best we can, but don't feel that we can safely keep the birds here anymore, until we are able to fortify the enclosure better. If you have room for a few more in your flock, we would be grateful if you could give our girls a home. They were excellent layers, obviously might not be laying normally for a little while after this. Please email me at [email protected] if you are able to help. Thank you.

So, the show would be from 9-3:30 for visitors. If exhibitors are cooping in on Saturday, they come earlier to get their birds ready for judging.

It was horrible last night! Hurricane force winds...all night, rocking the house. The wind was blowing so hard that the blinds inside the house were moving! And we have nice, new windows! It's now 12 degrees with a slight wind. I have to go out and do a head count and see if everyone made it through. The cats & dogs were in the house...and the horses are happily munching on grass...

Maybe this will help. This is copied from the show catalog.
As for chickens for sale! Well I may not be the best one to answer that. Would "I won it in a raffle" or "It was a door prize" give ya any ideas.
