I just want to echo all the things Pettec63 said. Hopefully we never stop learning and growing but the transition can sometimes be a total pain! Let's think sunshine, new growth, and hope for what the future brings! What a relief it will be when school is finally over for you, huh? I'd suggest everyone sing along with me but I know you all don't want a "sun will come out tomorrow" tune running through your heads...

And a note to Julie - speaking of missing your daughters - I got a text from mine yesterday (who's at WSU where ReiMirra is) that said, "I'm feeling nauseous today. I really miss you! I wish you were here to take care of me!" And though I wasn't happy that she was sick, there is a small rejoicing when she actually tells me she misses me, even if it's just so I can serve her! After I gave her advice about what to eat and drink to get feeling better, she of course was better by that evening and feasting on lasagne with friends. Silly, sweet girls...

Hey chicken peeps... I have a question... My daughters EE Falcon is about 28 weeks old and still not laying? Should I be worried? I got a soft shell egg about 6 weeks ago and one that was pale almost pink but I dunno it it was from her or one of my other girls. Normally all my eggs are light to med brown. Sometimes with white speckles. My other girls all layed before 20 weeks they are RIR and BO. Maybe its just the weather?

I would not be worried. Mine started laying (finally) about 8 months.

OK thanks my daughter is kinda upset... She wants colored eggs... She is beautiful I love her tail. She is also full of personality. She loves picking on the Barred Rock Cockerels and then runs and hides with the Buff's . But she is very flighty shes always on top of the swing set or the coop or the dog run. I have two EE babies in the tub that are looking like her I cant wait to see how they turn out.
