Please check out availabitlity of medicaide, it's a State run agentcy. I found them very helpful when my wife was in the nursing home. As it turned out my wife passed away b4 needing medicaide. Note; it really is not free if you own property. They told me they would come after any property and claim it to settle the debt if possible and they said it is the law. They have to. I don't know for sure, I'm just saying what was said to me.
Yes they will try to recover expenses. And yes if you own property they will (so to speak) come after it. It's called spend down. However it is my understanding that if there is a surviving spouse they will not take anything until the spouse is gone or tries to sell.

Hello all. I live in Kitsap County not far from Poulsbo. I just inherited 7 chicken so I built a small coop from a kit that said it would accommodate 7-10 chickens. Well, I don't believe it so I am building a bigger one from scratch. The current coop will be large enough for now especially since I built a large chicken run for them. I've only had them 6 days and they have given me 14 eggs already!

I'm lookIng to increase my flock my 3 more chickens. I'm brand. Ew at this and am reading everything on the subject I can find. Looking forward to advice and make some new connections with other chicken folks.

You are in the right place. There are many posters here that will help, all you need to do is ask.
I too am new to this chicken thingy and I highly recommend "Raising Chickens for Dummies". I have found this to be very informative.

They WILL recover any monies given to you IF you are something like 53 years of age & older.
Under that age they do not recover monies from your property.
In this, they really screw with the elderly -again !

Well, DH has left the building, should be far away by now.
he should, if travel goes well over the Siskiyous, arrive in Clearlake Oaks, CA by 6 PM.

We took the studs off & had new "summer tires" put on last week so hoping he does not have any snow/ice although we do have real chains for the van..............and so far I have had to put the chains on as DH had never done it before.
So hope he is OK

Before he left he drew out a plan of the Plucker with parts list in green ink pen that I had to overline in black to get it to scan.but I think it is OK.
So, I have a file to send out if anyone wants the plucker plans.

Right now I have a bunch of work to do & will log on later.

Anyone wanting plucker plans send me an e-mail (my addy is on my sig line) or a personal request written on a $20 bill sent to my address LOL !!!!!!!!!

ORGESS : try the bellevue goodwill for walkers and stuff.
When my MIL broke her leg, we wheeled her to Gold's gym for her showers.
A lot easier, and the drive is good too.
Good luck.

Yes CR I think that is right now that you mention it. That's what my old brain is telling me. Anyway, they were very helpful and went through a litany of possible services I would need. Of course the nursing home (joke) would keep my wife then. After all $7000.00 per month is a nice fee. Grrrrrrrr, I get so dang angry just thinking about it.
