Well after a lost weekend of nice weather (a week ago) we (my son and I) had to give up on moving the shed and converting it to a chicken coop palace.
The reason was it was not worth the effort to move it due to rot and deteriation.
Today was fairly nice, a little breezy early which spurred the decision to take the shed down which we did! It came down really easy. We dropped it down and the roof came down in one piece right on top of the pile. With that major piece of work done, we then laid out the supports for a brand spanking new raised chicken palace. (the girls have never been in their own coop so what do they know?) I am keeping a photo record of this and I'll soon upload some photos to annoy and bother you all.

My brooder is soon to become larger. I didn't know chicks could grow this fast. They are amazing critters. One or two will let me pick them up and then squawk like the dickens but then calm down as I talk to them. I guess I'm making progress.

Thanks for the plug for the museum. FIL has retired so he can fulfill his life long dream of being a pro bowler but the museum is still impressive!
Do you just need to shell on the plum egg? If so, how do you get the yolk and white out? I can save it for you if you want. I don't plan on keeping it.

Broody, what a gorgeous photo! Thanks for sharing. If you happen to get another plum egg that you don't plan to hatch or keep, I would love to buy it from you for my egg wreath project.

I also wanted to let you know that when we were at the Fort DeRussy museum last month DH and I told the people there about your dad's museum in Chehalis and recommended it as a great place for those interested in armor. I hope they get some visitors out of it.

I did book a trip to Cabo for the first weekend in June for DH and I to celebrate our 20th anniversary!!!! It cannot come fast enough!!!!

Same thing happened to our CC here a couple years back. Makes you long for the days of cowboy justice! Sorry for the kids!

CR how did you do? I promise the check is in the mail. I am sorry...been busy.

On another note: I am sure you may have seen it on TV.....someone (2 at least) broke into our high school and TRASHED it. They are figuring soime 200,000 worth of damage. I have a friend who works for a local window/glass company. they had an order to replace 65 windows. Trashed the principals office, the counselor's office and at least one teacher (many did not like her). the broke/stole many computers, TVs. Destroyed all the pop machines in the commons, a giant TV that was in the commons that held high school stuff on it. itis just awful. Many kids are feeling devestated and violated.

Just close your eyes & imagine Eenie !
And you have no doubt met Mr Jet...so just imagine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have not yet had that honor.

Only flew in Saturday night, and my dad moved! So I am no longer within walking distance of the rabid doggies.

What? You're neither odd nor annoying. I have a very low tolerance for irritating people, and I have chosen to spend hours with you, so there.

X2, X2!! I wouldn't adore you so much if you weren't odd, so stop telling yourself that's a bad thing. Do you need brownies?

Yes, just the shell. I drill a small hole in one end and pump air in to get the insides out. Some people use a syringe, I have a little plastic air pump with a needle that does the work. Other folks put a hole at each end and blow, but I find the one hole method easier. If you'll be up in Seattle again soon I can arrange to meet you and I can take care of it, unless you need the innards for eating.

Thanks so much Broody!
