Well after a lost weekend of nice weather (a week ago) we (my son and I) had to give up on moving the shed and converting it to a chicken coop palace.
The reason was it was not worth the effort to move it due to rot and deteriation.
Today was fairly nice, a little breezy early which spurred the decision to take the shed down which we did! It came down really easy. We dropped it down and the roof came down in one piece right on top of the pile. With that major piece of work done, we then laid out the supports for a brand spanking new raised chicken palace. (the girls have never been in their own coop so what do they know?) I am keeping a photo record of this and I'll soon upload some photos to annoy and bother you all.
My brooder is soon to become larger. I didn't know chicks could grow this fast. They are amazing critters. One or two will let me pick them up and then squawk like the dickens but then calm down as I talk to them. I guess I'm making progress.
