green woods nichols kimberly ?? any of this mean anything ? eggsactally ! NEVER doubt Da Fat Kid.

You would never find me via kimberly lane. Woods is one over too many. Nichols is getting closer...but many will get side tracked with the winery. LOL. Look for Miller. Miller/Nichols - now you are even closer.

yes it has a fan, and I'm so sick of stupid hygometers I don't even have one in there!! I just put little pieces of thin sponge in two of the water trays and keep them all full? so the thread is on here?? I will look! Thanks, I switched to a conventional therm instead of a digital and it's been much better! The digital must be too sensitive or broke!! I think I will stick to those conventional therms from now on, they aren't that expensive! Thank you for your advice Cheri!

Moved most of my babies from the back room to the coop today. They are about 6 weeks old and bursting out of the brooder. I set up an X pen for them with 2 heat lamps. I have done this every year for 8 years and still think they will be too cold. I even brought the 2 smallest back into the house for the night. Maybe I will move them out again tomorrow.

yea it's definitley cold out here! I have some out in my brooder house now too, I have two heat lamps going. But, they have some nice feathering going on, I read that if you keep temps a bit cooler in the brooder they start to feather earlier and it comes in much nicer. Just have to make sure it's not too cold of course. good luck!

Quote: Just something to think about most diseases or virus incubate 7 - 14 days, so when ever I have something new, they usually stay in quarantine for at least 14 days sometimes three weeks!! Just to be on the safe side, but, everyone needs to do what they need to do, so I'm sure you are doing the right thing, just thought I would pass that along, ( it's a vet tech thing) LOL!

Would four week old chicks be okay in the house without heat? It's about sixty degrees in my laundry room.

All you can do it try it, if they huddle together and are very noisy than you need heat.

So for any of you looking for a hight % English Splah chicks I have a few, they are so darn cute and BIG
