CL - I would hope that you would let someone know if you conked yourself on the head! You of course, know the dangers of internal brain hemorrhaging. And if you were to act a little goofy after conking your head, (should someone be able to tell the difference) would need to get to the hospital immediately. Head injuries scare me. A very good friend of my parents - who was a brilliant architect, had a very large firm here in town and a wonderful and sweet man - fell on the ice the year before last and hit his head. His wife was out of town at the time. He had a headache for a few days, but by the time he decided to have someone take him to the hospital it was too late and he passed away hours after being admitted because of the bleeding going on in his head for those couple of days. Someone can be walking around, acting perfectly normal and then die. The actress Natasha Richardson died after hitting her head while skiing - thought she was fine but was gone within 24 hours.![]()
I would urge anyone I care about to never ignore any head injuries no matter how inconsequential they may seem. I would rather be accused of over reactingor making a big deal out of nothing, and feeling foolish than have it be a fatal error.
Just because Imy BYC friends...![]()
I was thinking of her last night wihile I was in the ER with my son, he feel and hit his head about his eye and on his cheek. This guy just doesnt seem to get a break.Well I am caught up almost completely with planting......only have squash to do now...it can waite a few days.

Oh, an update on the Schnauzers that our neighbor found running down the street and decided to bring home to make a total of 5 dogs in their yard? DH had mentioned to her that someone was going to be looking for those dogs and she pretty much ignored him. So, the following morning my talkative little 5 year old friend was playing next to my fence and volunteered the following - "We don't have those gray dogs anymore. They didn't belong to us so we couldn't keep them, so we opened up the gate and let them out". Nice. Instead of actively looking for the owners they just let them out into the street again.
Later that day as I was leaving our development I saw a big "LOST" notice stuck on the pole but someone was right behind me so I couldn't get the number. Just as I was about to turn around, I saw a guy with both dogs on a leash, so figured the owner had found his dogs after all.
sent me a text that he dropped a post pounder on his head. Hope he is alright. Said he needed stitches.
Anybody heard from CR???
He texted me to say he was headed for the ER.
Something about stitches in his head.
Now I haven't gotten a reply to my text.
A bit concerned.
Anybody know anything different?![]()
