CL - I would hope that you would let someone know if you conked yourself on the head! You of course, know the dangers of internal brain hemorrhaging. And if you were to act a little goofy after conking your head, (should someone be able to tell the difference) would need to get to the hospital immediately. Head injuries scare me. A very good friend of my parents - who was a brilliant architect, had a very large firm here in town and a wonderful and sweet man - fell on the ice the year before last and hit his head. His wife was out of town at the time. He had a headache for a few days, but by the time he decided to have someone take him to the hospital it was too late and he passed away hours after being admitted because of the bleeding going on in his head for those couple of days. Someone can be walking around, acting perfectly normal and then die. The actress Natasha Richardson died after hitting her head while skiing - thought she was fine but was gone within 24 hours.![]()
I would urge anyone I care about to never ignore any head injuries no matter how inconsequential they may seem. I would rather be accused of over reactingor making a big deal out of nothing, and feeling foolish than have it be a fatal error.
Just because Imy BYC friends...![]()
geeze, that was Doofus Einstein saying those things..and if I conked my head like that he would probably fall over laughing !!
he ran over my toe (in rubber muck boots) yesterday with the manure trailer.......he was on the tractor & I was scraping out the compost & he decided to pull forward a bit..right over the top of my foot.
After yelping he backed up & as soon as I could I smacked him on the back of the head !
Idiot !!!!!!!!!!!!!
He was smirking but I wiped that right off his face quickly.
I, so far, have not conked my head with a T-Post driver, cuz I am too short I get out of doing that !
I do much other things though...like drilled (hard & Fast) a phillips bit right through my thumb a year ago.......RIGHT THROUGH !!
Made an awfully large hole & pounded with pain unless elevated, for a week.
I also love to smash my thumb when driving 10 d or even 16 d nails....twice I smashed it so bad it was hamburger & flat & the nail puffed with blood & had to drill in to drain it.........GROSS !!!
Yup, I do my share of accidentals.
I imagine, in fact I will put money on it, that we will see alot of such "incidents" in the upcoming house build !
Almosr scares me............
