I always (since my teens) wondered why Band Aide brand bandages were always White -people colored !!!!!


Why has no one (40 years later) still not made a band aide for the people of color ?   

It is a mystery.


I'm back to buying name-brand; for some reason none of the store-brand (Kroger, Walgreens, Target...) stick well enough to use on fingers; I wash my hands so often that the tips are always split, and usually sleep with bag balm and bandaids to keep it where I need it.

 

Gloves. Latex or non during the day keeps band aides clean and dry. Cotton gloves keep lotions or balms on your hands at night.

Works for people who can sleep with gloves on their hands (or socks on their feet) of which group I am not a number.

[COLOR=0000CD]I know this sounds kinda gross but have you tried putting foot cream on your hands? My hands split really really bad every summer specially between my fingers in the summer from working in the garden and I use  Dr Scholls for her foot cream on my hands before bed and it works great. If they are really bad I put it on right after I wash my hands an put a pair of gloves on sleep that way. It might help. [/COLOR]

Also, ever try Bag Balm?  that stuff will cure anything. The best.

Which is, in fact, what I use, that or vitaminE/beeswax ointment.

Ooo, good idea! You'd be great at that. I'd hire you if it was my place! BTW - a friend of mine with a GORGEOUS big house in Lakewood invited me over for dinner the other night. Her ulterior motive? She wanted a "chicken consult". She's thinking about building a small coop in the next year or so... I told her I had no problem coming to talk to her about chickens. The problem is getting me to STOP talking about chickens!

It's funny how we start to influence others, isn't it? I've got at least three people at work who have gotten, or are planning to get chickens, because of my birds. It's just so much fun to talk about them!

LOL OK now I feel dooped... I got them as "packing pellets" and on the card they sent is said Barred Rock Cockerels" LOL Now I feel like an idiot cuz I didnt know the difference

Do you know anyone willing to store it for you until your big home is built? It could be yours, "crafty sewing, painting, everything artsy" woman...

Wouldn't those drawers come in handy?
