Oh hit submit too soon! I posted in incubating & hatching but no responses.. was hoping to have some information by preschool pick up time (1 hour!). My daughter's preschool is hatching ducklings. There's one right now that has zipped internally but not externally. There's basically 2 pips on opposite sides of the shell with an internal zip (I can see through the shell where the membrane was pecked away) in the middle. ACK! Is the little guy going to be able to get out without help? I'd be really tempted to take some tweezers and gently break away some shell just where he pecked through the membrane then put him back to finish himself. But would love any other opinions before I give the teacher my meddlesome opinion

Tonight I snuck out, into the garage, to the brooder. We put that perch in yesterday and I wanted to see if anyone was using it. As I tip toed across the garage and peeked in, I seen all the chicks in a pile on the brooder floor, snuggled up with each other. Then as I get even closer I realize they aren't all there. Crystal, my little EE, is roosting on the perch. She was the only one.

It's so cute since she is the youngest and the smallest (other than the Banty).

Hey CR, I have an anceint weed puller, stick type that you stick under the weed & jaws grab it & ya pull up...it is about 4 foot tall where the handle is...I thought it had a nice "jaw" you could use cuz DH was gonna haul it to the dump but I stopped him & thought you could use it...................We have quite a bit of stuff for ya here ! And if Jules goes back over that way tomorrow maybe she can drop it off to ya ???????????????? And some awesome tater salad ???????????

Well I guess I better go wake the dragon and prepare to feed it. Speaking of I need to get some pics of the dragon we are building and post them. Steve has a couple bids on it and so far they are starting at $5-$6 THOUSAND ! ! ! It should be done in a few more days.

He changed his "ByNatureFarm" to "buyN8urefarm" or some such thing..............and he is getting back on.
They are renovating an RV, and selling their goats chickens & rabbits and so saving $ on rents, etc and getting rid of furniture which will be cheaper to buy new rather than store or haul the old....so he is doing right on !
We will all be ready to help them when they get here !!!!!!!!!!!!!
