2 floors; only 3 above the garage doors because the garages are dug into the hillside so we would not have to navigate a steep driveway in the snow.

Luckily all but one window in that hall flips in the frame. The last one hits the wall because of the angle.
Gotta long tall, tall ladder ??????????????????????????

Im going to go lay down, Ive over done it this weekend and my back hurts so bad and now my right legs is hurting. Darn nerves have to have it back by tomorrow so I can drive.. My oldest son keeps telling me to go get a MRI and so does the DR, maybe I should but I really dont want to know..

Well I am in a pickle.. I have 4 chicks and I was told they were all girlies, well it looks like one of my RIR is not really Louise but a Louis. YIKES! I am not 100% sure as I am a first time chicken owner, but he/she looks different than the others.. smaller tail feathers, getting a much larger comb and brighter on top, the others barely have one and they are very pale.. sooo I guess I need to find a home for him as I can not have roosters in town. Any takers??? He is already super friendly and I would willingly give him to a good home

I cant remember what thread I read on here, but it said most people say they use to have chickens when they were young or grew up raising chickens but if asked the color they cant remember.......That holds true for me I do remember the day they came home we were in Roswell visiting relatives then we drove to hobbs, Then we head home and in this circular wooden case with chicken wire were all these beautiful yellow fuzzychicks, I remember my dad making adjustments on the water dish so they wouldnt drown, and herding them into to the coop at night, I remember having to clean the coop, and my brother running off leaving me the task, But I cannot for the life of me remember what they looked like as adults.... But I do have fond memories of the chicks

I have noticed in my long life, that alot of native Oregonians pronounce Washington , as "WARSHINGTON".................I have no idea why ?

Speech impediment ???????????????
Not just Oregonians. I find it is more common in Eastern Washington/Idaho. My grandmother, born and bred in Wenatchee and a 50-year resident of the Yakima area, said "Warshington" all her life. And "dishwarsher" and "squarsh" etc. etc. So do several of my other Yakima relatives, but not all of them. My Boise-raised MIL. Even my husband says "dishwarsher", but I don't let him get away with it. You only get to say "dishwarsher" if you say everything else that way, like my grandma.

I think he says it to annoy me.

Maybe we should split the state down the middle and have "Washington" and "Warshington".

Oh no Im sure he was putting her in her place for you know. But sometimes they can be really bad. My girlfriend came home to a rooster trying to kill one of her hens, well its becasue she wouldnt listen to him ever so she went to a new home becasue she loves her rooster.
He was one of the free ones I got back at the end of Jan and well he is the only one who had started to crow and mount my hens... well today he went after my 3 year old and chased him and then I saw him grab my 9 week old EE by the back of the neck and swung her around. it looked like a dog playing tug a war with a sock... so he had to go. I was gonna wait until he was a little older but yeah I cant have that. As for the turkeys... I dont think its too cold.. it says 99.7 on the thing.... I was able to straw feed them some water and some mushed up feed and then put them on a warm water bottle and they seem to be doing better so maybe they just didnt eat? I dunno I guess I am not very good at this turkey thing

You must have met my Mom! Ha ha. She actually was raised in Los Angeles, but always said "warshcloths" and she moved to Oregon when she was 22.
