And here is what hubby added on. It is what we call the upper pen. The coop is in between. all the birds love it. There's a shallow swimming pool. and even pool ladders screwed to the wall of the coop for chicken bleachers. They even use them. lol.

here is a front on view looking towards the coop. There is wire down on the floor attached to the sides to keep unwanted critters out. Even wire over top although the4 sparrows still get in.

Cloth diaperer; I will not contribute to landfills by throwing hundreds (or thousands) of pounds of plastic and human waste to leech into the ground and make us sick for years to come; also, they're freaking cute! Who would use sposies knowing how cute and easy cloth is? LOL

I cloth diapered with both of my kids. We tried many, but our favorites were Motherease with Bumpkins covers, and a liner or two when they got older. They are so cute and my kids both potty trained faster becaue they hated the feel of wet that is hidden by the plastic ones. Now that my youngest is nine - it's been a while - but I bet they are designed even better and have more cute patterns! =)

Figured I would post 4 day old bunny pictures.. there are still10 alive which is amazing to me!

Congrats on all of them making it! They are starting to look less like rodents, too!

Aw, they are adorable =)
they really are - esp the "Lap" Babies - Today was clean house day for them. Ya know it's not easy "trying" to clean out their shed, when they "insist" on helping, when really its NOT helping. LoL

"Cuddles" feels the need to scratch through what I had in a pile to clean up or get on the little dust pan that I use & scratch it off... this is helping how?...lol

So as I clean I have to clean up a area & put clean shavings down to keep them "some what" occupied, as I know how much they thoroughly enjoy going through the nice clean stuff I put down...hahahaha

It's also not easy when ur trying to look to make sure u step on no one.... since they also feel the need to stay by the feet & clean the shoes as well...lol..

When I was all done I did our usual routine of "Nap Time" - apparently I have a Neon Sign above my head that says "Come one, Come All - Take a Nap on Me"....Because I didnt do our usual "morning" routine ... when I finally got to -- I had a 5 baby war on my hands of who was going to have a "Nap Spot" --

In total I wound up with a "Pile" of birds all cuddled together in my lap... 1 would leave, and another would replace the empty space... was pretty funny really..
Then I'd get 1 here & there decided to be smart & fly up to my shoulder to say Hi.....hahaha

So my question is, may have been addressed, but there are so many posts to read through...... when abouts can I get away with having them outside for a bit... would make life sooooooo much easier to be able to clean their shed, when they aren't trying to help & worrying about stepping on them...?

Our Frizzles will be 3 weeks Thurs & our first bunch will be 4 weeks Friday/Sat. -- boy does time fly...

Thanks Bunches =)

No offense MO, but I've seen the CA thing first hand, I've lived here off and on for 30 yrs, ask yourself why you got the "attitude" from the attendant?? I'm not saying ALL CA people are like that, but obviously there have been enough that it has made an impact on us.

Prime example and you can't dispute it cause this is true too, when left for the Navy, I could buy land here where I live REALLY cheap, by the time I got back in 87 I couldn't touch it! WHY? Because people from CA could sell their small even, junk property for a gazillion dollars, then they would come up here and buy property and then of course the realtors jacked up the prices! And I lived in CA for over 8 yrs, I know what property was going for down there, before I moved back!
There are nice people every where and there are people that contribute to their communities from every where, but, at the same time, there are some similarities in people from other places too. Just sayn!! And you know we LOVE YOU!

I think the bigger issue is congested cities, every where.
These people are pretty much the same, at break neck speed to get to work & on the so called tread mill...............they have issues, serious issues to get to work, get a paycheck & feed their every growing families...................they are stressed, and more & more are showing the effects of such stress.
Growing Metropolis' in Mississippi, Alabama, West Virginia or Washington are all the same.
Hopefully......Sane individuals are trying to get OUT to a more saner, rural area.
Seems to me the sane ones escape, and those are the Cali transplants that are here..the congested cities in WA are not necessarily Californians, but Washingtonians that are caught up in the ever growing population.
Most Californians that come here in this state, go rural, totally.
Why bother to move so far just to be in yet another city ?

That's the same ones we used. I liked the soft terry cloth and all the different snaps so they could fit almost any baby. I gave them to one of the teachers at the elementary school when she was pregnant because I heard she was looking for some used on craigslist. Alex potty trained easily, but I can't say the same for Olivia.
