Can you hang it up?

Not in any reasonable fashion right now. I'll try to figure a way to do that for the winter. But THIS is apparently what happy chickens look like

Thanks for the great idea Dave!

Poor Tilda...still majorly left out...

But certainly not neglected. I brought her inside to relax for a while.

She loves to cuddle!

OMGosh, we may have a lead on where my sister is. A guy called my grandma a few minutes ago, said he was at the Lynnwood Fredmyer and saw the poster. He told her that Rachel might be sleeping on his buddies couch. Yeah!!!! It is a bit concerning though cause if this guy is old enough that he is shoping at fredmyers then his buddy is older too and why would he have a 14yr old girl sleeping on his couch? Any ways, I hope it is her. He said he would finnish up shoping and head to his friends house to make sure if it is her or not.

WOW I have never heard of anyone allergic to Xanthum or Guar Gum !!
That is awful !!!
I have issues with wheat, glutens & soy !!!
What is H-Mart ?

H-Mart is an asian grocery up in Federal Way that we go to maybe once a month. They have a nice selection of different flours and starches and some really awesome produce. I wish it was closer just for the produce. It's a bit of a drive from down here on the south side of Graham. We go to Paldo World over in Lakewood as well, but I like H-Mart better.

Mom has so many allergies. She's actually allergic to most grasses. Wheat about kills her when it's blooming and when they harvest it since it's a major crop where she lives. She tries to stay away from my great uncle's place during harvest since he plants a lot of wheat. I don't understand how she ended up with that allergy as an adult since she didn't have an issue growing up and them growing wheat.

I lucked out and there is only one plant that blooms a short time in spring that I have issues with. Not sure what it is. I get a couple days here that I have an issue, which means it's likely something decorative in a garden. When hubby was stationed back in Virginia, I'd have over a week of stuffiness each year.

Mom can't eat store eggs. From what we've been able to guess, we think it's the egg wash. She can eat unwashed eggs from me, or from one of her hair customers who tips her with eggs.

what started as a great day took a turn for the worse...

My one chicken "Momma" passed away this afternoon. She wasn't looking too good last night like she was cold....It had been raining here. was hot in upper 80's then all of a sudden rainy and cold. I brought her inside and gave her a heat lamp in her cage... It didn't work. This afternoon she laid down and then she was gone. DAng it. She was my super snuggler too. a little upsetting but I do understand things happen. Don't mean I have to like it.

then i noticed another chocolate egg in the bator has pipped. I'm keeping m fingers crossed for the 4 little guys to make it out of their shells.

I'm gonna miss momma but it happens

Oh I'm so so sorry! What a sad thing :( At least you have some babies on the way to distract you but still...I dread the day we lose one. So far all 15 I've had in my care stayed healthy and happy! I've only sold some, and even that was super sad.

Momma chicken was my blind hen. My picture on here is me holding her. Whenever i went into the pen she would hear my voice and come over wanting held.

right now I have 2 button quail in a cage in house. (first babies hatched in my bator) I'm not real fond of them. they aren't friendly or anything.
I also have Buzzy he/she was hatched May 17th. It is a turkey.
Also is the chicken that my landlady rescued from a cat. When she got it to me the bird just layed on its side and didn't walk. It went into isolation and is now doing much better. Walking flapping wings and being a normal chicken.

And now 4 eggs hatching in the bator... 2 silkies and 2 marans. these are my landlady's eggs from her chickens i am taking care of. Not my chicks but that don't mean i can't love on em after they completely hatch. lol

Bellevue tomorrow -- my job is taking me there. Anyone close by have POL birds for sale? I need to feed the racoons .. err... I mean I need to keep up on my egg production. I have 10 hens in 'jail' because they'd rather sit on eggs than lay them. Durn broodies.

New hot wire goes up around the fence this weekend. In the mean time -- I'll stand watch early evening/morning. That coon has another thing coming.
WE just talked about coons this last weekend too. that is odd.

Sorry about the splinter in your finger.

Tell the wife hi for us. Alisha appreciated the phone call.
