I just found this thread. I am new to BYC!

We are located in Belfair, Wa on the Peninisula. We raise meat chickens and also have some layers (but they are still babies) only 4 weeks old.
Anyone close to me!?

I'm in North Kitsap. Not too far away.

Just in case anyone is interested I am looking for a new home for my 11 month old Black Cochin Rooster. He is great in every way, my kids hold him all the time. He is on CL for $15 but if one of you guys want him you could just have him!

He's pretty... But I am trying to get rid of 3 cockerels right now.

Are the BCM chicks straight run or do you have any idea of sex? Much as I'd like another roo, it would be a bad idea I think.

Just found out that.....MY SISTER IS BACK

! My family sucks though. I have been working my butt off trying to find her, and I always check her facebook, this morning I checked it and she had posted "I'm ok" and that was it. So I tried calling my dad to tell him and he did not answer so I called my grandma to tell her and she said, "oh yes, I know. She showed up lastnight. Your dad wanted to wait to tell you so he could try and talk to her, but she wont tell anything".

So not only did they not call me the second she showed up, but he has not called the police to come take her to juvenial detention. If he does not call them, I will and then he is in deep chicken poop too! Om gosh I am so happy she is home now though. Thank you guys all for your help and your support, you all have been so great.

My chicks are about almost 8 weeks old. Do they lose their feathers at this age? I am noticing a few in the pen and not sure if its natural or not?

Oh I am soooo glad she is back!! But WOW i can not believe your family did not tell you. That is horrible. I hope that somehow she ends up on the right path... You are a great big sister!!!

Regardless of all the other stuff......that is WONDERFUL news that she is back!!

Oh My Gosh! I was wondering the same thing.. We have feathers in the pen as well.. And mine are about the same age.. Things that make you go hmmmmmm. lol
