Does anyone have any 8-13 week old light colored Easter Eggers/Ameraucanas available to give/sell? I think I would like 1-2. I don't one a black one, or any that look like my Martha/Lay-a. I want cream colored, white, light light tan, etc. I just want some really pretty additions to my flock who will lay green and blue eggs. Or perhaps a Maran who lays dark dark brown eggs? I know it's weird to think of my egg basket and how colorful it is, but I do

How about a partridge/chocolate colored that lays mint to blue/blue green eggs ?
The Russian Orloff I have penned with BBS Ameraucana is throwing some awesome partridge/chocolate babies !
Also have Cuckoo Marans.

I have dealt with coyotes, bobcat, cougers, redtail hawks and raccoon. The cougars and the raccoons devastated my flock.
Ogress is on top of the hill in North Bend.....just above where that fruit cake hid in his bunker after doing in his family..........and she has had constant issues with Yogi !!
And herds of elk right on the front porch, and deer on the back porch.
Very wild there.
maybe she can post some pics !

I am so bored with this icky constant drizzle............and no-see-ums everywhere !
Good news: Sweet Grass Turkle eggs are shipped & on the way
Walker Midget black winged bronze poults hatched 2 days ago doing great.
One was a crip & I had to tape her in a coffee mug for a few hours but now she can balance & walk fine, works great for chickens too.
Cut a circle of card board, fit in the bottom of a narrow-ish coffee cup, tall enough where the baby can stand & see over and balance on the sides but not get out.
Tape feet to the cardboard with band aide ends....this is tricky, has to be done as if they were actually standing.
Put cardboard feet first into the coffee cup & stick all back in the brooder.
Have to do this ASAP when the chick is born and shows no sign of standing....or they will be crippled for a long time & unable to feed/drink.
Only a few hours can make a dramatic difference !

I replied on the last page, but I'll cut and paste for ya!

I think that they have to turn six during that school year in order for them to join, but the page at the Snohomish County WSU Extension site isn't loading for me.....so if she turns 5 in Feb, she could joing the following fall. So when she would normally enroll in Kindergarten. Does that make sense? You could always call the extension office and make sure. HTH!!
Sorry didn't see it. =)

I'm working on taking some birds off her hands. Not sure which ones yet

I'd price the Weaton the same as the other good hens - $15. Am I wrong? Is that too much for her?

OK let me think it over this week. I'm reallllly not sure. DH might flip his lid; he doesn't even know I'm already getting more than just "Ricky" from Dawn on Saturday. Though it might be a good thing to tell him if we got yours, she'd lay for us right now ;) Sounds like a good price though.
