if she has been sitting long enough..... i would just put day old chicks under her....
that will be much easier to find then someone willing to give up almost ready to hatch eggs.... Plus the transporting of the eggs at that stage would most likely kill them by bouncing them enough to rip a blood vein or something.

Sneak them under her while she's sleeping? What about the chicks? Would they readily accept their new adoptive mama? I can call a couple feed stores and see who has the youngest chicks.

Man, I really had beginners luck with my first hatch! It went so well. The 2nd hatch only sucked because I effed up during the hatch (like, literally as everyone was zipping was when the disaster happened) but I at least got 5 survivors out of a couple dozen eggs. and now it looks like this hatch rate will be a big fat 0

Yes sneak them in under her at night and leave them there until she allows them out or she might attack cuz they don't "listen". the chicks will take to her as long as they are as close to day olds as you can get. it might take a couple days for them to learn to talk to mama... but be there in the morning to watch if you can.

On Sunday I put 3 week old chicks under a broody cuckoo marans. I did not even have to sneak them under her, though I did do it at night but with the lights on in the coop. She accepted them with no problems. She is a very good Mamma bird.

We just had a coyote IN THE FENCED YARD!!!!

I had the dogs in the house with me when I heard a commotion, and all the chickens were running toward the coop. I yelled and saw a coyote turn away from chasing them and run off. I let the dogs out, they could not find the coyote, but were sniffing like crazy. I found a freshly dug hole under the fence. Chickens are all safe and in their coop/run for a while.
