Yikes. Glad your friend is okay! Aren't you loving that coop though? I can't stop looking at mine. I have the day off tomorrow so I think I'm going to start priming it and get the finishing touches on it in preparation for the youngn's to move in!
I am glad Wende is OK too. The three of us were lowering the heavy end of the coop to the ground and it tipped over and squished her. My heart was in my throat for a few moments until we could see that she was OK. It was fun to see Robin's place. She has some beautiful Ameraucana pullets (we hope).

My runs are beautiful. It is so nice to have the girls in a covered run. They were taking a dirt bath today and did not get coated with mud. I scrubbed out the water containers and know that they will not get splattered with mud by tomorrow. I have a few things to do to make them varmint proof and then I release the cream legbars into the little one. My 11 year old wants to let her bunny out into the smaller one and I said heck no! After we all worked so hard, the bunny does not get to use the chicken run first.

So what's with a bird that occasionally opens it's mouth really wide? My old girls don't do this almost ever, but Princess does it quite often. Could a switch from pellets (old home) to whole grains (Scratch and Peck is what I feed my birds) cause her to need to swallow a bit more? She is only 10 weeks old. I've heard of birds needing to kinda re-arrange their crops to help themselves digest. I provide free choice grit which I tried to show her but she isn't interested. Does that sound normal or could it be worms? I inspected her poop with a stick...no worms visible.
Could Princess be a Prince?

chickielady: 40th wow!! My hubby doesn't even keep track of when his reunion is.... He is going to be 51 this year and would have graduated from othello but he didn't and went into the airforce instead where he got his GED.

Now he's a truck driver and helping his first exwife with breaking her horses. cool thing was my 8 yr old son was the first to ride the horse...along with a major wedgie of course. Both him and Cheyenne did great for their first time...

Sadly today, the last baby turkey did not make it. I was hoping it would but it didn't.... This is definately a learning process for me.

I just passed my 10 year reunion last year...didn't go. I hated high school and really don't care much what happened to all those people who treated me so badly. Maybe I'm wrong but oh well.

everyone has their own opinion on going or not. I did go to my 10th but to the family portion only. I guess the big deal was the catered dinner/drink party but I didn't go to that. My 10th family part was a picnic at nwtrek and we got to ride the tram and see the animals. My kids loved that.

My ex hubby's school does thing differently... They have alumni weekend with honor classes but everyone is invited to go no matter what year they graduated. It is held at the school for the weekend with a variety of activities going on. That seems a bit more realistic to me. A lot of my friends were not in my class but in different classes so something like a alumni weekend would be much more fun for me.

This year is the 20th and most likely my hubby and I will go. But we are making a weekend of it for us. My kids will be at their dad's that weekend so this will be more a date weekend for us. I am actually looking forward to it. Not so much seeing the people from high school but having the time for us.

I haven't been to any of my reunions, either. Missed 10, 20, and just passed 25. No regrets. I'm from California, and they have the reunions in October. Lousy time for a teacher to travel. Really, I'm in touch with the few people I care to keep in touch with...and many of my friends weren't from my year, anyway.

The "reunions" I look forward to involve my closest college girlfriends. We get together whenever family and kids leave us opportunity (hard, as we all live in different states...), and we stay up all hours talking. I'm going down to Portland to visit Laura in July...She's due to have a baby in August! My Albuquerque friend and I are trying to figure out that trip.

Anyway, don't miss the HS scene at all. I was never exactly the pinnacle of popularity and society. Salutatorians are honored by teachers, not by peers. Oh well!

Wow. Thought I was the only person who felt that way. There wasn't much I liked about school in general, besides the academics.

So, I'm going to be in Enumclaw on the 29th to visit a friend and delivery some chickens. Anyone have 100% English blue, black, or chocolate Orpington eggs or chicks or birds I can get while I'm there???

Drama (my sand eater) does that too. And please don't say she could be a he. Please. Please. Please!

I went to my 10 and 20. It was nice to sit back and watch (in shock) all the popular people who completely ignored me. Suddenly, they were extremely normal. Or I was finally up to par. Not exactly sure. The guy I had a crush on for 2 years - didn't recognize him - at all. Got over the hurt feelings from that crush very quickly. He was living the effects of party central, a scene that never interested me, and I left the 10 year reunion extremely grateful that he never gave me the time of day.
