You ALWAYS use one or the other.I don't know that we're there yet. There are more soft yellow poops than normal and I have 2 new girls. Didn't know if I should use Corid for 5 days for everyone or just use medicated feed. I have both. I should probably have been using it all along, but I didn't know not to let my tiny chicks into the yard so early. I had them outside in a small run at only 3 weeks old, and this was for several hours a day. Then I took them off medicated at 8 weeks and switched to Scratch and Peck Grower feed. That's when the growth tapered off and the girls didn't grow as fast as other birds. I know they need more protein so I put them back on starter/grower and I'm giving them scrambled eggs every other day, but I don't know if I should restart medicated, which I did buy today just in case. Thanks!
NEVER use medicated feed AND Amprolium in the water at the same time, you will over medicate.
Birds started, should be on a grower feed for more protein.......I'd say birds at 1 mo or 2 of age, go on grower, basic or flockraiser with 20-27% protein, which is unmedicated with amprolium, so I add the podwer to their water at rounded 1/4 tsp per gallon, in a empty milk jug, add a bit of warm water to dissolve, then fill it up & add 1 T of the solution.
If you add vitamins, I do it at the same time as the corid powder so the warm water will dissolve the vitamin powder.
hard to dissolve in cold water.
I am not familiar with the dosage for the Corid liquid, you have to ask CR that.
