Do ducks really smell to have around? I don't think my chickens smell like anything at all but this lady's ducks stunk, and...so do the eggs (on the outside)

Ok I have a cute little Sizzle Rooster that needs a good home, he's 2 months old and is a really nice little guy. PM if you want him, I only got one sizzle hen out of the bunch of eggs I got so keeping her and a rooster for her and her sister. You never know I might let them go but going to try and keep them for now.

But NO, they're awful to crack!! I just finished lunch. We each had a duck egg with our lunch. OMGosh they are super thick egg shells and hard to crack, and even the insides are super slimy, thick, and hard to get out of the egg shell!! I ended up scooping out the shells with a spoon

I actually had a hard time taking a bite of the first egg because it grossed me out cooking them; I've never had them before and *different* doesn't describe it

We'll see how the hubs likes them later.
Um, well, once they are fried they aren't much different. Where they shine though is in omelets or for baking. I have customers show buy them just for that. They are slimy though, actually the word that comes to mind in SNOTTY! ICK! (Don't tell hubby what it is, I bet he'll love it, it's only the ones cooking it who know and the ick factor sets in)

Good news: the weather although still hot here is a bit more tolertable. This coming from a tacoma raised girl where temps above 80 were too hot and now in tri cities where 100 is kind of normal. ugh... oh yea good news.. We found a home for our brittany spaniel Chase. Put a second ad on craigslist (someone flagged the first one) and had 2 calls the next morning. The first one I tried to call back and got just a busy signal so called the second one it was a brittany rescue out of seattle. They had a guy that was going to be in pasco the next day to drop off a couple dogs and wanted a dog of his own to go hunting with. So he picked up Chase and chase liked him instantly. Got an email from him telling me how well chase has adjusted to spokane. This makes me absolutely happy that Chase has a good home.

We had a pig get loose this morning so had to go on a pig hunt. At least the pig didn't make it to my garden!!!! This pig is the boar and he's getting tusks. He was gotten in november to raise for meat. But for some reason, landlady wants to fatten him up more even though he is meaner than snot to the 2 girls. He was supposed to breed them and he never did his job. The girls are being pushed away from the food by him. We bought the boar and she bought the girls with the idea that he was to breed them and then she would pay to get him processsed for half the meat. ugh!!
