Depends on the duck egg. Mine I usually use one duck egg for two chicken eggs; sometimes two duck eggs for 3 chickens eggs. I most always weigh them first. A little extra egg usually won't hurt a recipe. And they aren't ALL slimy and gross! Gave the dog one last night and apart from it's size, you would have thought it was a chicken egg, and it was green like an EE too!

I have rhubarb in the backyard if anyone want free rhubarb any time. I don't do a thing with it, it just keeps coming back :) were off to the splash park again, though I hear thunder and we might not get wet, oh well we can use the other dry park too :)

Does the rhubarb have to be red to pick and use? We have lots of large stalks but they're still green.

Anyone in the Edmonds, Seattle, Everett area have any welsummer, marans, or wynadottes for sale I need to replace a chicken I lost on the 4th of July. Thought I would check here first. Thanks!

Let them ripen and turn red. Stay away from the leaves, they contain oxalic acid which is poisonous. The stalk also contain it but in very small quantities (More in the green stalk I think).

Apart from strawberry and rhubarb cobbler/pie, it makes a fabulous wine!

Oooh, on the way back from the vet, I think I'll pick some up for cobbler this weekend. Yummy!

I did use Eprinex pour-on. I thought it was 10 days but that's good; just means I will worm them again tomorrow and that should be the end of it.

Anyone use Eprinex on their cat? Like, for fleas? Or could that be deadly? I was gonna check dosage and just go for it but I guess I should wait for an answer from someone who has done it before, instead of killing the cat

I dont think Id use it on my cat, they are special little animals and cant handle much..

Hello to the new members! I'm just checking in - I'm heading back up from Oregon tomorrow.

Yesterday I called the vet to schedule the rainbow bridge connection for Felix (the Persian) on Monday. Only to find out from my DH last night that Felix went there on his own :(

RIP my fluffy, quiet boy.

My girlfriend's cat, whom I haven't seen all week since I've been here, decided to sleep with me (ON me is more like it) all night last night. I swear it is crazy how animals sense things.

DH says the chickens, peafowl, and peachicks are all doing fine. I've been worried about them in this heat (mainly because FWJ dotes on hers and I feel like I'm a deserter!) But he's been giving them fresh water every day and we have enough shade around that he doesn't feel he has to run home from work to check on them. (He is why I bought the pop door - WHAT A LIFESAVER!!)

Chewie, the DF's cat, just crawled up on my chest and now I can't see the laptop while I type. Time to enjoy kitty love!!
