Camping out in te yard with the kids tonight. Nobody's getting any sleep, but we'll have fun! LOL night all

That looks wonderfully fun!

I want a fire ring, but I'll settle for DH just cutting up the winter wood into lengths. Maybe I can get him to do one later.

Robotics would be fun too. I've heard of the Lego leagues, but am more familiar with the other FIRST competitions...I support Aviation High School's Team 1983 Skunkworks.

Jr. FLL (FIRST Lego Legue) the the very beginning stage of FIRST (ages 6-9). They use computer based LEGO robot pieces known as WeDo.

FLL is the 2nd stage (ages 9 - ?14? - can't remember the exact age). They use LEGO Mindstorm robot pieces. The play a game similar to the High School teams - but they use LEGO pieces for the robot and the challenge set-up.

I'm hoping my 3 kids will progress through all 3 levels all the way up to FIRST in High School.

I hope you enjoy! At least you can go back inside in the rain. My poor DH and son are at a Webelos Overnighter at Game Farm Wilderness Park - and the weather is wacky. It poured on them last year, too.

Hi!
Just checking in! I have been busy finishing up the last little things on the silkie run. I think it turned out just like I pictured it. I am so done though. Tired.

I will post pics as soon as I can.

Sadie Sue- I just want you to know that the blue boy I got from you is most definitely a boy. Has started to try his crower out. Kind of a pathetic sound right now, but this early he should have it down in no time!

Pretty cute!

I hope every one is ok, sorry for the loss of your dear kitty while you were gone.
Thank you Farmin' Momma! (And to everybody else who passed on their condolences.) I'm home now for a week or so. Just got in last night.

I've found this morning that I've lost two chickens and one cockeral somehow in the last week. They've just up and disappeared. :( I haven't looked for piles of feathers around the property yet. And I'm afraid to peek into their favorite bushes.....since it could have been the heat.

On the bright side, my Peachicks have grown SO MUCH in just the one month since they were born! pics to follow. They have their little crowns growing on their heads, they are much taller, and going through their awkward teenage feather phase already! They are so cute!

AND Kate their momma is back! She took off and hung out down the road (a good 3/4 mile away) for about 2 weeks. I think it had alot to do with postpartum depression! Poor Prince William is molting. He's losing all of his long beautiful feathers. He looks like he was attacked with a huge chunk of them out from one side. I have some beautiful feathers for my house now, though :)

Now, I have a couple pages of catching up to do myself! How about that lightning show last night, huh? I had a great show from Kalama all the way up to Shelton while I was driving home last night. I have ALWAYS loved lightning!

Hey y'all. Laid back day today, kidlets are SO tired and keep melting down, poor guys. They did pretty good last night actually! The big kids fell asleep as soon as I said it was time, at 10pm after we finished all our books and the movie on the laptop. Then William laid next to me awake, singing, talking, and PRAYING (sooo cute!!) until 12:30!!! Then it started raining, hailing, lightning and thundering! ugh. It was a long night for me sleeping on the ground too, since I have a hurt back and neck which affect my arms (lots of pain). Oh well, at least they slept until 7 since the sun was up early! And my cat left us a present outside the tent door: dead mouse! LOL So next time we do the camping thing we'll definitely leave the 2y/o in his own bed and have fun with the big kids outside.

We're about to get to a garage sale down the street to grab a few things we could use (an armoire that will go inside the chicken run for all my supplies!) Woot!

So I did my good deed for the day, my girlfriend gave me a call about 9 saying she had a goat ready to kids some time. So I talked to her for a while then she called and said shes pushing. Ok I'll head over... when I got there one kid was walking around with one kid LOL. Than the next two I had to help out. It was so cute to watch the family .

So now Im home and need to head outside to get the chicken area's going. My hubby told me he wanted to one area in our back yard to be cleared of chickens so now I get to make another new area for them. I think I have it all planned out pretty good. Ive got the Costco tent thing thats 20x10 so Im going to have the silkies and the sizzle in there and also a area for the Cream Legbars ( at least till I get a chance to build a larger area for them).. My one girlfriend said just start building and when your husband see it he'll stop you and do it for you since it wont look good...

We were luck y on the weather havent had rain like a lot of you did.

:) I guess I'm not surprised that he is crowing. He seemed to have the most attitude of all the silkie chicks and I'm pretty certain would have had no problem reaching alpha roo status in the flock although considering he's a silkie that's not saying much. They're all so doggone sweet. He just gave off a strong boy vibe!

I know my porcelain and partridge are boys too but neither of them have started crowing yet. The two Serama boys do enough crowing for everyone! Starting at 6 AM I hear their duet coming from the computer room.

The two whites are doing well. They're filling out nicely - definitely through the awkward stage and I'd put money on at least one being a girl right now. The other with the 70's glam rock do is going to keep me guessing right through it's androgynous Ziggy Stardust phase.

I'm glad the blue boy is happy at your home, (altnough your place is so beautifulI he couldnt ask for a nicer environment).I hope you continue to be happy with him as he matures!
