Meanest bird I ever had was a RIR, if we can't count parrots.

Mom has an amazon that hates everyone but her. It will snuggle with her and make such odd sounds. I have scars from that dang bird trying to take my hand off. And she stalks me looking for a moment to strike.

Would anyone local like to come over Friday or Saturday and help me (teach me) how to clip my birds' wings? They keep hopping up on top of the 5' chain link fence all around the property. They haven't jumped down to the other side yet, but it's only a matter of time. If you can come show me and help me I'd really appreciate it!

I agree with you. The garbage haulers make a lot more than DH, who is a union worker at Boeing. DH is a highly trained and skilled electrician who handles high voltage electricity on a daily basis. Every day he goes to work, we know he is walking into a very dangerous job. He even said "they make a LOT of money".

The garbage truck drivers make TONS more money than a certified Nursing Assistant who cleans backsides all day, every day...( and has to under go years of training, testing & certification).....having to hoist 800 pounders up in a cherry picker to bathe them & clean their bedding requires many months of training & certification by the state dept of health.................................................starting pay is $10 an hour, ceiling is about $15 an hour.
Wiping runny-rears all day is NASTY and CNA's deserve far more income than garbage truck drivers.........CNA's have to access all health issues with thie pateints, including heart issues, stroke victims, and Alzheimers.
Cleaning big diapers all day for $10 an hour (no bennies) ????????????????????????
And these guys are striking cuz 98K a month + full bennies is not good enough ????????????

Remember: You will ALL be in a nursing home someday, unless you have a licensed caregiver amongst you to care for you in your own home.

Thanks for posting, I needed this too, I just hadn't gotten around to looking into it. In the video it didn't really look like it mattered much but is there a certain amount of feathers you need to cut in order for this to work? She looked like she was just cutting until whenever.
