Those Bantam Golden Laced Wyandottes are GORGEOUS!!! ...How does one incubate an egg?? LOL

Let me see... I understand you picked up your chicks from Garden Sphere, so if my deductions are correct, I would say you live either in or close to Tacoma. Then I recall you were relating that Tacoma had a limit of 6 chickens and no roosters, so I would conclude that you are very probably IN Tacoma city limits.

You just may have a fellow BYC'er in University Place who has a nearly foolproof Brinsea Eco incubator that they would be willing to loan you so that you too could have the pleasure of hatching your very own beautiful chicks from hatching eggs provided from some of your very friendly local BYC breeders. Your children would get to experience the amazing process of hatching baby chicks and WATCH them as they pipped and zipped and finally broke out of the egg.

Nothing like hatching your own babies at home! It's addicting.

And this is how it begins...

Okay I was an evil girl last Saturday, and I posted a picture of the group that met at the auction. There was a picture that was tag as being an unmasked Rustler. That wasn't the real Rustler, that was his good twin brother from another mother. This here is the real picture with the real Rustler in it.

Great group pic - just makes me feel disappointed again that I missed all the fun!

Thanks for the response on my BCM's red skin.
FirewifeJess just picked her and a pretty blue EE up from me and I'm sure she'll read the suggestions.
It's so hard to give up birds!!!
I simply had too many for my coop. In the summer it's not a problem, but the winter when it gets nasty, those girls just need more space.
I'm glad they went to a good home!
Thanks, FWJ, and I hope you enjoy those beautiful dark brown and blue eggs!

I must admit that while I got to see everyone, I didn't feel like I got to visit with most of the friends that showed up last weekend. I simply wish there had been more time. We will just have plan another auction weekend, and have a potluck at my house. This can happen as soon as I have a real kitchen again.

Okay I need to go look for some boxes to start packing. I also need to write up a sales contract for 2 of the "Nasty Little Puppies". They are going to go live in Lake City, with a wonderful lady. The lady is otherwise alone, so the pups will be very good company. I am looking forward to a little less chaos around here. Harvel T. Hoppenstedder, has learned that he can got out and play in the backyard. He is a very happy bunny.

I wish I could have visited with you more. BTW... your nasty little puppies are adorable!

Ok here are all my seramas that I get to play with. They are still pretty young though. One of the young black/white males has started to crow and its sounds like musical bells or a screeching door.

The bird above is number #1 male

Number 2 male

Number # 1 female she has some red leakage on her chest

Number 2 female

Number 3 female All the above are hatch mates.

Number 4 female.

Number 3 male. He has been crowing for awhile now. As soon as I get the serama pen up they are all going in. I am waiting to see what the males look like before deciding who get to stay.
