So exciting! The little one has a good pair of lungs, too. It's peeping is LOUD!

This egg is one of Tamara's blue laced red Wyandottes. I hope the next one is a silkie!

OK, my boyfriend convinced me that one of our three remaining hen "slots" in the spring should be an Egyptian Fayoumis and I'm so excited! We keep our birds primarily for laying, and though I have no idea how much she'll lay, I'm guessing she will earn her keep by LOUDLY alerting our flock if any predators are encroaching! And she should be fun to watch as the breed is apparently mostly "wild".

I just hope I can get my hands on one of these! From what I can tell, the only hatcheries that sell them are the ones with large minimum orders, so if I can't get one through a feed store or Baxter Barn in Fall City, I will definitely be hoping very much to share an order of chicks with someone in the region!

Can't believe I have to wait until spring. I could just die from the anticipation! I am officially a crazy chicken lady!!!

Robin you might get to know a couple freshmens that now go to AHS

One just started her internship (i think that is what she called it) at the museum!
My niece is going to AHS and I'm so proud she is working so hard to maintain good grades.
I know most of the upperclassmen since they were the last two classes I taught, but I know a couple younger students here and there. I'm still a mentor at the school so maybe I will run across your niece yet!
