Wasps and mud daubers, are these a concern in coops?

I'm building a coop and wondering if paper wasps or mud daubers are gonna want to set up shop in my coop? I'm in SE Texas, and these things are prevalent in my area. Having chickens won't allow me to spray nests, so any suggestions to keep them out and off my coop? I'm mostly worried about the wasps, since the mud daubers are a peaceful sort.

Same question here! One day after building my coop and i already have wasps trying to stake claim to it.

Does peppermint oil work? Can i spray it now since my flock wont be in it for a few weeks yet?
