Wasting Silkies

Curiously, why is everyone so afraid to tube?
I think I was afraid for alot of the reasons you stated, but once I learned and tried it, Its not that hard. I have Silkies, so I can hold on to the top knot and have the beak open with one hand while I administer with the other hand. I wish I had got over my fear of doing more harm than good, in retrospect....could still have some of my babies with me. 100% Agree, Most die from Malnutrition, Dehydration....some can be trampled in thier weak state at feeding time.

Annnnnd he's back to acting funny and losing weight again.

Could this have anything to do with a dominant rooster and pushing him around? would he lose weight and lay around more because of that? They were really at each other last week, and then this week he's been laying around again.

He could...

I need to find him a home I think. I tried putting him in with the LF, but they just picked on him.... unless I should try putting the dominant one in with the LF?

What I ended up doing with one of mine is buying one of the smaller dog crates that give my little showgirl roo enough room to move around well and still be able to be in the pen with the others. After a week he was out walking around with them with no issues. Worked for me.

It ended up being vent gleet. I treated with oil of oregano and special probiotics and it cleared right up!

How much oil of oregano did you give? And what probiotics? Glad it worked :)
