WATCH A BABY DUCK EMBRYO GROW IN REAL TIME!!! LIVE STREAM

Hopefully we can get passed day 3 this time, and I'm also doing the experiment where after a week I take the part of the egg off where the air sack is and cover it so we can watch it

Thank you! I have been interested in learning more details of the technique ever since i saw https://www.facebook.com/rupanbaltv/videos/1324974097513591/ . Apparently the 3-day pre-incubation in the shell is essential, as well as supplemental calcium among other things. How does your process compare to that described in the paper? I really congratulate you for trying this

Thanks, the only thing I was thinking was maybe it's the lack of oxygen, even though I did poke holes in the plastic. The reason maybe it doesn't die earlier is because the cells are just dividing and it won't need oxygen yet.
I copied the following from the paper you linked to, Note there is a plastic lid in addition to the membrane w/holes.....and a hole in the bottom of the vessel with a cotton plug.....
Furthermore, we made 10 ventilation holes with a diameter of 5-8mm on the upper surface of the polymethylpentene film, with which the embryos did not make direct contact. The holes were created by melting the film using a heated glass rod. The culture vessel was covered with a polystylene plastic lid so that the humidity inside the vessel remained at approximately 100%. The culture vessel was maintained at 38℃ and 80% humidity in an incubator. The culture vessel was placed with an angle of approximately 8°and rotated

I'm really happy someone on Youtube shared that with me, the next try after this one I'm going to try and test what it said in that paper. I think it's about to solve a lot of the problems I've been having.

It will be very cool to watch it grow live

Possibly a surprise tomorrow
