Those are way too cute, thanks for sharing. Do you find they are friendly when you handle them as babies? I had a pair of buttons years ago, but they were super skittish. I got them as adults.

no... I handled mine as much as possible from chicks to adults and they are still terrified of me

Well, I guess that's just life as an itty bitty prey animal. They're so darn cute, though, you just want to cuddle them.

Yeah, they are VERY difficult to tame. You have to be free ALL the time to cuddle, and most people are just too busy. I spent most of my day with my dear quail and he was the tamest thing on earth, so lovable. Japanese quail are pretty easy if you're one to one taming him or her.

I used to have Japanese quail,one of them would even sleep in my hand! But she was attacked by 2 other quail I had. So she slept in the house and that night raccoons ate my 2 other quail. Soon later when she was aloud out, a cat got her when I was int looking.
