I am new to raising chickens and I have a question about their food and water. Do you put a feeder and waterer inside the coop and outside in the run? We are getting six 17 week old chickens next week. Thanks!

I never did as it would have to set in the sun also with out any covering of the run

they always went back in and eat and drank their feed and water

it is important to refil waterers twice a day as the hot water that sets gets stale in the waterer

and chickens do need fresh water during the day
any questions email me

I keep a waterer inside and outside the coop, but my main waterer is outside to keep moisture down inside the coop. The feeder I move in and out when I let my birds out in the morning, unless it is raining like today, then I leave the feeder inside the coop so the feed stays dry. I like having more than one source of water for them incase one gets spilled too.
