yes, i have seen these bowls for sale around here - at $70 a piece plus tax!

so my question is where can i get one for cheaper, in canada... i would need two bowls to avoid back and forth trips to the coop in the winter (bowls need daily cleaning in hot water & soap) - these hens are already eating me out of house and home! LOL

I have 45 hens and the new coop is 16x20 with 4 sections. I would like to have a tank (or food grade barrel) that only needs filled weekly, but I will need to keep the water in it from freezing. Then I would be able to somehow fill the waterers from it daily. I have heaters for the waterers to sit on.

This is the new coop. 3 pens and a storage area.

I could use some ideas on how to set this up to make it work.

If you have electric in the coop you could drop an aquarium heater into the barrel, while your at it hook it to your downspout so you don't have to fill it as often. the food grade barrel usually have two 2" plugs one of them usualy has 3/4" threads that a garden hose valve will screw into.

Look back there were plans for making water heater from cookie tin you may have to experiment with different watt bulbs to keep temp you need

maybe this will help
