water nipples ~how high ?

I am in the process of changing my chickens to a water nipple drinking system. The birds are 'average' size - feed store R.I.R., Australorp, smaller Buff, and a BIG R.C.R.I.R. roo. Any suggestions on how high to place the water pipe with the nipples ? This just made me think (dugh) I may have to have two at different heights. ? Ol Randy the roo is almost as big as a J.G. (and so far a nice fellow, 1 yr. old, I'm holding my breath he stays "nice".) Or I may have to place a little step stool for the girls.

Here's a nice diagram about the height of nipples in relation to the size of the birds. Two heights might work as would a block to step up on for smaller birds.

Thanks for the diagram. I built my water'er but realized it was too tall for my pullet's. It should be perfect once they grow some, so I have left it there for them to find later on down the road. In the mean time they are using a jug/dish system. Hopefully it wont be hard to convert them all to the pipe once they can reach. I have 1 hen who is able to reach the nipples, although I have not seen her use it yet (I am assuming because the dish is right there as well).
