Water pictures

Stunning photos!  Ain't nothing happier than a duck (other waterfowl, too!) in water.

Around here all the wild waterfowl hang out at the local Walmart.  Geese, ducks, pigeons all enjoy the convenience of the Walmart parking lot. Of course the fenced-in retaining pond is bonus for them.
No Seagulls? They are in abundance here. I rarely see pigeons. Lots of crows and seagulls though :p

And their favourite place is any fast food restaurant (especially McDonalds).

The gulls stick to the port, and beach side since tourist are an easy mark for a free meal. We get pelicans in the canals, as well as dolphins, manatee and gators.

We are very close to the beach. They are very fearless. God forbid you eat outside at one of their hang outs..

Also the seagulls were terrible when we went to Universal Studios in Orlando when I was a kid.. I remember my dad eating an ice cream and BAM. Seagull grabbed that ice cream with his feet. My dad still ate the remainder :sick

We will never forget that story. It was hilarious. Also stole my friend's hot dog. They were even less fearful in Florida!

We were at the River Walk in Texas and sitting outdoors having lunch when the wait person put a tray down with hamburgers on it. Suddenly a crow or whatever they are in Texas swooped down grabbed that burger and off it went. The wait person just went back in and got another. My husband and I just looked at each other in amazement.

Gorgeous pictures Celtic Oaks!

Once while in San Fransisco I saw a seagull swoop down and grab a corn dog right from a lady's hand. It landed and quickly swallowed the whole corn dog in one gulp, wooden stick and all! I still wonder if it ever had internal problems from eating the stick

Believe it or not but I live outside of Reno Nevada and we have sea gulls here. I guess they come from the few lakes we have around the area but those a quite a few miles away. The only problem I have ever seen is all the yuck they drop while in flight. I do have to say that when a bird poops on your windshield it is really annoying but when on your head or that favorite shirt one really must think about shooting some birds. I haven't had it happen to myself yet but I have seen it happen to others and the look on their faces... WOW.
Trips to the ocean when I was growing up on the east coast taught me never to take food to the beach unless you have a Very Large umbrella to hide under. Good luck everyone with the bomb diving gulls and the in-flight food snatchers.

By the way beautiful pic of your birds!

I live in the mountains of NC and have seen sea gulls here in the winter in a grocery store parking lot, either it was on vacation or got blown off course. lol
