Water - Well vs. City tap

I've almost always had well water (lived in an apartment for 2 years), even growing up and just can't bring myself to drink city water. I just can't get past the smell of chlorine.

I love my well water. My city water was so bad, I had to put a filter on my fridge water dispenser. It was musty tasting, just awful! We only have a sediment filter on our well water, but it tastes great.

I have always had well water-three different homes. We got real lucky at our house in Florida, and have perfect water.
However, my parents put in a well for landscaping, and can't drink the well water, the iron is too high, and it smells of sulpher. It stains the sidewalk.
I guess it depends on what kind of well water it is. If it's drinkable, its okay for chickens.
