what is better to use to feed my chickens water! a plastic or steel/metal water-er

My metal waterers end up getting rusty and my plastic ones always freeze in winter and end up cracking.

A plastic 5 gallon bucket with nipples attached at the bottom. Always clean water.

right now, i have two pans (larger ones without the handles). we dont have electricity out there so the winter i will have to figure out plan b.

Chicken water cups. The chickens see the water, which they like, and they can be hooked up to any size water bucket, which I like (less filling)
