Waterer & Feeder that takes up Little Floor Space in Coop

Here you go on the auto waterer. I'm now selling these for $39.99, but you could make one yourself.

You can also check out my site below for PVc feeders. I built two to go through the walls. They each have screw-on lids to keep the rain out. Using Sewer & Drain (S&D) 4" pipe is CHEAP!. Each one has two 45 degree angles, a 6" length of pipe between them, a 30" pipe outside topped with what is called a clean-out adaptor with a screw-on cap. I still leave the coffe can over the top to avoid rain ruining the food. A big plus is the birds must stick their head inside the tube to eat, so there is almost no waste. Outside you must adjust the angle to insure they get the food, but it doesn't just dump it as you pour it in.

Thanks again for everyone's help! This site is such a grea resource!

For the waterer I am going try the Avian Aqua Miser. I like how I won't have to clean is so often since they can't mess in it, it will still give more floor room, and it stays inside where it is fairly dark so it won't grow algae very fast. It hangs on the wall so it moves with the tractor.

For food I will probably go with a PVC feeder and attach it some how. I just finished turning my coop into a tractor so it will be my next project.

Thanks again,
Jeff

Dude! You can make your own for a heck of alot less-check out my pics. I actually stole this idea from avian aqua. Was appalled at how expensive it was. Very easy to make your own, I made 5 for 4.00 a piece! Take a look at my pics

All I used were milk jugs gallon or half-whatever you prefer....or go to the dollar store and buy a plastic drink pitcher. I bought the nozzle and grommet from teksupply

All I did was drill a hole in the bottom of the jug-flat side..very important, then I pushed in the nipple/grommet and voila! waterer! I used wire to wire it to my brooder, just slipped it through the jug handle. I was surprised at how sturdy milk jugs really are! My chickens took to this immediately. Save the money for something else. I hope this helps or at least gives you another idea.

No leaks! I purchased the extra grommets-figured I'd plan ahead!

I kinda copied one on here, except I hung it with the keyhole/screw system the same as my feeder. Easier to remove with no bungies. It tucks right in the corner nice and tight.

Made an adjustment with my waterer. As they drank down the water, the waterer maintained the water level a little lower than I cared. I trimmed the waterer rim so the birds can reach the water easier.

I was about to say, I have made the exact same style waterer, but I had to cut mine down a little where the water comes up for the chickies...

This question is for MONK.. my husband and i really like your PVC waterer. I went to Home depot and got the pipe and elbows, came home and put water in but the water only stayed in the U part of the pipe. Do you have water in the pipe and in the U. if so how do you keep it in. Thanks
