waterer nipples.

There are a few different kinds. I have the type with a rubber gasket and a red, plastic insert that houses the lever. Installation is a 5-minute project. I've successfully installed them in bucket bottoms and a plastic bottle lid. I've started my chicks on them and they use them as adults with no issues.

I ordered mine from someone on these boards (Neil Grassbaugh). You can also find them on EBay, Amazon, Farmtek, QC Supply... Google "poultry nipples".

I have not had good luck with nipples sicne they leak and drip after use. The waterer cups have worked without any drips or leaks. They have brackets that make them easy to remove if needed and put back in without any glue or teflon tape.
