Waterer Question

A newbie question. Yes, I've read posts about this through the search engine here, but still have questions...

I'm about to get a larger waterer.

I want the galvanized waterer, just because it seems to me it would stand up to sun and other weather better. Seems the water would stay cooler longer too (it's HOT here). But, you can't add ACV to it, is this a necessity? I wish I could make a poll here.

I could just keep the plastic baby chick waterers for acv and put it inside the coop. ??

Also, I tried to read the pros/cons list under the ACV thread, and the links wouldn't work for me. Can someone cut/paste them, if it's just text??

I use a gal waterer but I don't use ACV. I'm not even sure why you use it. I know that some people don't really care for them but I like mine.

I bought the metal fount, so will do ACV in the small plastic chickie founts.
