watering with bucket and de-icing coil

thank you so much folks. i have no interest in a dog bowl, but in a bucket maybe 3 gall. size my ducks won't jump into a bucket! i don't think

i think i'll end up getting a heated bucket.

eta: i would have to use an extension cord though. i don't know if that poses a problem. the cord is INSIDE. the reason i'd need to use it is that the cords on the heated buckets are too short for my setup. anyone use extension cords with heated buckets......?

I run 200' of extension cord from the garage to the heated bucket in the coop.

The safest thing is to buy heavier rated cords 12 or 14 guage minimum. Most of mine are 14ga "agricultural" rated.
Those 16ga garden duty cords just won't cut it over long distances.
