Watering

I am a big believer in Automatic Waterer Cups. They have a nice little source of water that the chickens can drink from while beig able to see the water. They do not take up much space in the run or coop and do not leak or drip. My waterer buckets are outside fo the run so I do not have to go into the run to add water. Let me know if you have any questions about setting them up.
How do you train them to use these? I have them in my brooder attacher to a bucket and they still only use the jar waterers.

No training involved. They will use the source of water they are used to remove it and they will use the cups or nipples.
When chickens see water in the cups, they drink it. Not much training is involved.

Yes, but the cups don't refill themselves. How do I get them to refill on their own?

What site did u order the nipples from? and what did u use to seal the nipple to prevent leaking
?quote name="Homestead girl" url="/t/762643/watering#post_11185976"]I bought six of the water nipples on line and they are awesome. No mess in the water and it stays clean. Just fill up the 5 gallon bucket put the lid on and the chicks took right to it.
Best thing . I am making another one in the morning. I gave one to my neighbor to try. Great invention.

When they try to drink the last bit of water in the bottom of the cup their beak moves the yellow trigger adding more water. It never runs dry.

Quote: These cups and the nipples I sell as well as others are made for a gravity fed system. Basically a container as a supply connected to a run of nipples with a hose or tubing. The supply must be placed above the run of nipples and gravity feeds them.
